This year the Bavarian Forest 5 Days moved more north to the City of Fichtelberg. As usual we had 4 forest races and one sprint. At the first two days there were also a MTBO event and at 3rd day a 3 person relay. Unfortunately the event clashed with the TrailO European Champs, so there were no TrailO this time. The terrain was as usual very stony. But I would say with bigger and more detailed rock formations. Day 3, the most stony day (see picture below) was run on 1:5.000 scale. It feels a little like TrailO but you need to climb through the rocks. Final day was a sprint, but I think a little boring special with tired legs. I ran all 5 days and the relay. I’ve been ill for two weeks in July so I wasn’t very fit. Next year the competition will return to Bodenmais were the Story started in 2022. You can fin pictures, results and a link to Livelox here.
